In the darkness, I wonder, is there hope, is there joy, is the light?  For there are times when I cannot see my way out, of this abyss; yet my heart cries out, “Save me, please.  I don’t want to live in the darkness that seems to envelop me and keep me from rising up and moving out and forward in my life.  I can’t do it on my own.  Is there anyone out there?

And then in the stillness of my heart, I hear a voice, gentle, tender, merciful, loving… calling me, to come into the light.  And so I look up from the darkness and I see, a glimmer of light, a glimmer of hope… and as I continue to look at it, it begins to get brighter, larger; reaching toward me.  I reach out, hoping that the light will wrap itself around me and take me out of this darkness, this dreary disposition. And then I sense a warmth I have never known before, wrapping itself around me like a Father gathering a child into His arms, holding me, keeping me safe… and He takes me out of this darkness into a marvelous light… A light that is hope, faith and love all in One… because I realize the One who is holding me… is the True Light.  The One and Only Light that can and has saved me from the darkness.

Our Father, who is in Heaven, holy is Your name… Your kingdom come, Your will be done, or earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us today Your daily bread, and forgive us our wrongdoings, as we forgive those who have done wrong against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.. amen and amen.

My Dad, my Abba Daddy, YHWH, He’s the best Father ever. He loves me no matter what. He helps me where I am. He guides me with the truth of His word. He strengthens me with the revelations of His word. He stirs my faith. He holds me in His heart. He never leaves me, abandons me or forsakes me. He provides for me, and keeps me in the provision and bounty of Him. He teaches me by His Spirit and the examples of my Jesus. He knows me like no one else. He knows me better than I know me. He lets me be real, He lets me be vulnerable, He lets me be all that He has destined and appointed for me to be. He is my ABBA FATHER, my DADDY…

…and it is in that relationship that I have with Him… that I can have such a wonderful relationship with my Dad.

I love you Abba Father, eternally, and thank you so much for all that You do for me in my relationship with my earthly Dad…

…. and to my Dad, my Pops, I love you always, and I thank God for you (and Momma).

Eternally Yours ♥
